This breezy, A-line 1960s dress was created for luxury New York department store, Bonwit Teller. Cut from white cotton organza embroidered with pale-blue polka-dots, it is tailored to a simple sleeveless shift-dress silhouette with a low, rounded neckline and lightly flared skirt. A panel of plain organza completes the bottom hem of the skirt. This dress is lined in what appears to be a cream silk satin and fastens at the rear with a hidden metal zip. The original label reads "Made in France Exclusively for Bonwit Teller". There is a good deal of hand-finishing to the seams and the materials used are very fine quality. In excellent vintage condition; very fresh looking and no issues. We estimate this is a best fit for a UK 8-10 or US 4-6. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in. (163cm) and this dress was roomy on her.
